Gus Rojo

Founder/President, Broker

Gus graduated from the University of Texas in 2007 with degrees in Business, Public Relations, and Corporate Communications. After working as the Vice President of Sales and Human Resources for an Austin real estate brokerage, Gus was hired as the Chief Operations Officer for DormAid, the nation's leading market maker for college services where he managed over 50 employees across 10 states. During his tenure, the GSEA organization awarded DormAid the Global Entrepreneur Award in the 2007 New England Regional Finals competition, placing them in the top 6 finalists in their Global Competition. In 2008, Gus founded West Campus Living, a real estate company that provides leasing, sales, and property management services to the area surrounding the University of Texas at Austin. West Campus Living has become the leading expert in off-campus housing for UT-Austin students, parents, and investors. They have been featured in the Austin Business Journal, Study Breaks Magazine, and the University of Texas' newspaper, the Daily Texan, which recently named West Campus Living the number one real estate company for the third time in a row (2008, 2009, & 2010).


Patrick Courtney

VP of Operations, Realtor

A native of Austin, Patrick Courtney first became involved in real estate two years ago as a Plan I Honors undergraduate at UT Austin. He has since graduated with honors and has joined West Campus Living full-time. Prior to joining West Campus Living, Patrick worked with Gus as a full-time agent at a leading campus-area firm. He then joined West Campus Living as VP of Operations in February of 2008. He now works with the rest of the management team to ensure that the company recruits, develops, and retains the best and the brightest in Austin. Patrick is also responsible for providing direction for the company's public relations, cultivating strategic partnerships, running the property management and investment division, training, and managing daily operations. Patrick is here to make sure that the guiding principles remain intact and the company stays client-focused and that West Campus Living continues to bring "The Good Life" to the UT community in all aspects of the business as the company continues to grow.


Joel Rojo

VP of Marketing, Lead Designer

Born in Weslaco, TX, Joel moved to Boston, M.A. to attend Harvard university, where he studied economics and computer science. In December, 2007, Joel took time off from Harvard and moved to Austin to join the West Campus Living management team, assisting primarily with marketing, design, and programming. After a successful term working from Austin during the developmental phase of West Campus Living, he has now returned to the Cambridge area and works remotely on graphic design, marketing strategy, and technology development, utilizing the company's web-based infrastructure and communication tools to stay connected. Joel also brings his ample programming and design skills to bear on some of the company's most important projects, and was integral to the development of numerous back-end systems for both westcampusliving.com as well as affiliate programs. Joel looks forward to his upcoming graduation and will continue to remain involved with the WCL team wherever his geographic location may be.


Chad Masso

VP of Technology

As VP of Technology for West Campus Living, Chad brings the programming skills that are imperative for a tech-oriented company and also serves as a chief designer for sister company Your Marque, specializing in user-oriented web solutions for businesses of all size. A native of Weslaco, TX, Chad came to Austin to study computer science at UT Austin, and since joining the company in January, 2008 Chad has worked to develop westcampusliving.com, built the company's proprietary billing and client management systems (InvoiceSmart.com and Zeebah.com, respectively), and monitored operations to ensure efficiency. Chad's hard work enables agents at West Campus Living to spend more time working directly with clients and less time dealing with organization and paperwork; he's the brain behind all of the behind-the-scenes tools that keep West Campus Living running smoothly. He's also served as head designer on numerous projects for Your Marque, all of which can be seen at yourmarque.com.
