The City of Rollingwood is a small community with a rich history that’s been a part of the Austin, TX metro area since the mid-20th century. With it’s unbelievable location along with west bank of Lake Austin, in between Loop 1 and Westlake Drive, Rollingwood is home to a small, close-knit community that take community and politics very seriously.

Rollingwood is home to about 2,000 families who love the close proximity to Downtown, the excellent proximity to Lake Austin, and the excellent schools. As part of the highly acclaimed Eanes Independent School District, Rollingwood has some of the best schools in Austin. The unique mix of residential architecture and the pride that residents take in their landscaping make for beautiful streets, and access to many outdoor spaces means residents tend to live active lifestyles and take advantage of the lakes, parks, and trails in the area.

As the small community of Rollingwood continues to develop, commercial districts are growing with restaurants, retail, and offices to accommodate the growing number of families. This growth, particularly in the last ten years, has positioned the neighborhood to grow in density as the population expands. With a satellite location of the University of Texas at Austin, several parks, and close proximity to everything, this neighborhood is sure to remain an exclusive and in-demand spot in Austin.

What to do

Rollingwood is a great place to hang out outdoors. Eiler’s Park, also known as Deep Eddy Park is one of the most famous and laid-back spots in Austin to hang out on a hot afternoon. Deep Eddy Pool is the oldest man-made pool in Texas, and the historic bathhouses built during the Great Depression are the subject of passionate conservation efforts from local community members. Deep Eddy Pool, and the nearby neighborhood bar Deep Eddy Cabaret, are famous Austin spots for a reason – the affordable entry fee and lively community make this a year-round hot spot. Another beautiful park in the area is the Town Lake Metropolitan Park, with a picnic area, nature trails, and lots of areas to take the kids for the afternoon.
