Ashley Elgie

Ashley may be an over-achieving architecture student, but she’s most comfortable in cleats and shin guards. “I guess I don’t come across as very competitive,” says Ashley, “but when my game face is on, I leave all on the field!” Watch out Colt McCoy, Ashley and her rocket-arm are considering tryouts this year. Courtney Sugar

This self-proclaimed tom-boy will settle for nothing less than becoming “the Donald Trump of Austin,” but can always be found enjoying the good life on Lake Travis. Unpredictable and kooky, Courtney is proud to be part of a company that gives back to the community. In her words, “everyone’s looking for a place to live, so why not do your part and work with that company that gives back?” Continue reading

Kelly Jackson

This kind-hearted Bob Schneider fan couldn’t be happier with her move to good ole Austin, Texas. A San Antonio Spurs enthusiast, Kelly claims to be the “easiest going person in the world,” and apparently she’s also the only person in the world that knows how to make a tissue dance (check out the video!) Kendall Beard

With a newly recorded album, this fresh-faced southern belle is serious about music. She sings, writes, and records her own music, which she describes as “rock with a bit of pop and a touch of country and blues.” With aspirations of becoming the next Sheryl Crow, Kendall is always up for singing a little amazing grace; if you happen to run into her around town, don’t hesitate to ask for an impromptu performance. Famous for her tardiness as well as her talents, Megan tends to run a bit behind schedule. “I almost missed my high school graduation because I was running so late,” she says. Let’s just hope she’s never late to surgery. Continue reading

Natalia Corona

Natalia may look serious in pictures, and may be serious her studies in biomedical engineering, but deep down she’s just waiting to show you her goofy side; just ask her about her elbow and nose-licking abilities. Besides loving her dog, Apollo, “more anything in the world,” she also loves supporting a good cause. She explains: “There’s really no reason not to do something so small that can make such a big difference.” We’re right behind you Natalia! Continue reading

Valerie Loy

This Spanish speaking Rio Grande Valley native is the definition of a true life West Campus Life saver. “I wanted to become a West Campus Girl because it supports a great cause – you’re not only helping yourself, you’re helping others.” Though she spends much of her time going to school to become a children’s speech pathologist, don’t be surprised if you find this Spanish-speaking gal cruising down the highway on her Harley Davidson motorcycle. True story. Continue reading

Melanie Pena

The youngest of the bunch, Melanie’s bubbly personality is visible from a mile away, and her two biggest passions are travel and telling jokes. “I can never be too serious; life’s too short to not be laughing,” she says, and we can vouch for her. Who else could laugh themselves through 17 takes of a few simple questions on camera? No joke. Continue reading
