Management

Gus Rojo

Gus Rojo

President & Broker, Founder

Gus started West Campus Living in 2008 and has lead the company in becoming the leading expert in off-campus housing for UT-Austin students, parents, and investors. They have been featured in the Austin Business Journal, Study Breaks Magazine, and the University of Texas' newspaper, the Daily Texan, which recently named West Campus Living the number one real estate company for the fourth time in a row. Prior to West Campus Living Gus served as Chief Operating Officer for Dormaid, the nation's leading market maker for college services where he managed over 50 employees at over 1800 college campuses. During his tenure, the GSEA organization awarded DormAid the Global Entrepreneur Award, making DormAid a top 6 global finalist. Gus graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007 with degrees in Business, Public Relations, and Corporate Communication. Gus also earned his Texas Real Estate Broker's license, a license held by less than 1% of Realtors nationwide.

Eric Grosskopf

Vice President

Born and raised in Austin, Eric joined as the VP of West Campus Living in 2010 after serving as a Senior Executive of a high-profile non-profit organization. With his knack for management and excruciating attention to detail, Eric oversee's all operational and marketing efforts for West Campus Living. With his client-focused philosophy, Eric also heads up the company's training and development program ensuring that West Campus Living recruits, develops, and retains the best and the brightest Realtors around UT-Austin.

Joel Rojo

Joel Rojo

VP of Marketing & Lead Designer, Co-Founder

Joel is currently a Senior at Harvard University pursing degrees in sociology and computer science. In December, 2007, Joel dropped out of Harvard to help start West Campus Living. He was responsible for successfully managing and implementing all marketing, design, and technology developments. Since returning to school, Joel has worked with various companies including Creative Artist Agency in Los Angeles, the leading talent agency that represents A-list stars in movies and sports including Oprah Winfrey, Brad Pitt, and David Letterman. Joel also worked with search engine giant, Google, as a New Business Development consultant in 2010. He's a co-founder and partner with Your Marque Web Development, a web development firm based out of Austin, TX.

Chad Masso

Chad Masso

VP of Technology, Co-Founder

As VP of Technology, Chad currently heads up all technology and development efforts for West Campus Living. From application to infrastructure and databases, Chad creates and manages all the behind-the-scenes tools the company uses to empower West Campus Living to spend more time working directly with clients and less time dealing with organization and paperwork. He's currently pursing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin and is a partner and Chief Development Officer with Your Marque Web Development

Patrick Courtney

Patrick Courtney

VP of Operations, Co-Founder

A native of Austin, Patrick Courtney first became involved in real estate two years ago as a Plan I Honors undergraduate at UT Austin. Prior to joining West Campus Living, Patrick worked with Gus as a top producing Realtor at a leading campus-area firm. In 2009, Patrick was hired as the VP of Operations responsible for the company's public relations, strategic partnerships, and investor relations. Patrick is currently pursuing his J.D. at The University of Texas School of Law.

Michael Kopko

Michael Kopko

Core Focus: Business Development

Michael is currently a Management Associate at Bridgewater, a global investment management firm that manages $89 billion. Michael graduated from Harvard with an honor's degree in economics in 2007 and completed his MBA at Columbia University's Graduate School of Business in 2009. He is the recipient of Columbia's Feldberg Fellowship, a full tuition merit scholarship in honor of former Dean Feldberg and sponsored by Henry Kravis. Prior to Bridgewater, Michael founded DormAid LLC in his college dorm room during his first semester on campus in the fall of 2003. The company currently provides laundry, cleaning, water delivery, computer back-up, appliances, career and bedding services to college students. He has made numerous appearances in major media outlets including Fox News, The New York Times, Comedy Central's The Daily Show, and MSNBC's Scarborough County. He has been named one of New York City's "Wunderkinds" and one of the 15 Most Interesting Harvard Students by Scene Magazine.

Brandon Miller

Brandon Miller

Core Focus: Real Estate Finance

Brandon is currently a consultant with Qval Property Advisors, a real estate group that specializes in real estate valuation. Previously, he worked with the acquisitions department of American Campus Communities, an Austin based student-housing REIT, as part of an integration team created to help with the $1.4 billion dollar purchase of GMH Communities Trust. This transaction has helped ACC to become the largest developer, owner and manager of high quality student housing communities in the United States. Brandon graduated with honors in 2007 from Texas A&M University where he received his BBA in Finance and completed his Masters of Real Estate at Texas A&M in December 2008.

Stephanie Stein

Stephanie Stein

Core Focus: Management

Stephanie graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with an honors degree in English and Cinema Studies in 2007. Stephanie began her career in operations and management in the music industry as the Operations Coordinator for an independent music production company. Stephanie joined the DormAid team in 2006 as the President of DormAid, University of Pennsylvania and put her passion for operations and management to work. Upon graduating from Penn, Stephanie was offered the position of Vice President of Operations with DormAid; in January 2008, she took over the role of Chief Operating Officer. She manages the national operations of the company and also works on partnerships, marketing, and business development.

Robert Cecot

Robert Cecot

Core Focus: Optimization & Analysis

Robert’s first entrepreneurial venture was a domain name management company, SonicDomains.com, which Robert sold in 2005. He became a founding executive of DormAid, a personal service company for college students, that same year. Robert graduated Harvard College with a cum laude degree in Economics and Psychology. He also completed a Hoopes Prize-winning senior thesis and received the Morris Kronfeld prize for excellence in Economics. Robert currently works at Force Capital, a private hedge fund, and graduated Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business in the fall of 2010.

Shiva Kaul

Shiva Kaul

Core Focus: Technology

Shiva Kaul is a technology entrepreneur and is pursuing a Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University. He investigates how massive amounts of data will be accommodated by large scale computer systems and new statistical methods. His research involves machine learning, probability theory, data mining, systems programming, and software engineering and is aimed to be of use in the financial, telecommunication, energy, and information technology industries. At Carnegie Mellon, he developed CMU-Genie under the umbrella of the Diamond project and taught a course on new web systems. Shiva has worked as a developer for Adobe Systems and was previously the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of DormAid.
